Yidan Chen, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2021, passed her Qualifying Examination on January 20, 2023.

Siyu Zhou, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2019, recently received the Hal Wilson Field Fellowship in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech.

Ming Zhao (a former Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore, starting March 2023.

Ruhui Chen (a former Ph.D. student) was recently promoted to Associate Editor-Chemistry in Wiley’s Shanghai office. She is currently working for two chemistry journals, ChemSusChem and ChemElectroChem.

Dr. Xia was selected to receive the 2023 ACS National Award for Creative Invention (https://cen.acs.org/people/awards/ACS-2023-National-Award-winners/100/i32 ), recognizing the invention of silver nanowires and related nanostructures for a variety of commercial applications. The Award will be presented at the ACS Spring Meeting to be held at Indianapolis in March 2023.

Yifeng Shi (a former Ph.D. student ) has been selected to attend the Chemical Engineering Rising Stars Workshop, to be held at MIT, September 29-30, 2022.

Shan Zhou (a former Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant Professor in the Nanoscience and Nanoengineering Department at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, starting August 15, 2022.

Annemieke Janssen passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 34th Ph.D. from the Xia group on 6/20/2022. She will be working for Intel at Hillsboro, Oregon.

Xue Wang (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of Assistant Professor in the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong, starting January 2023.

Jacob Jeskey, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2020, recently received the William Emerson Best Second Year Seminar Award at the CHEM Graduate Student Research Symposium at Georgia Tech.

Annemieke Janssen, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2018, recently received the Second Place Presentation Award at the CHEM Graduate Student Research Symposium at Georgia Tech.

Yifeng Shi passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 33rd Ph.D. from the Xia group on 10/18/2021. She is doing postdoc at UC Berkeley.

Minghao Xie passed his final exam (thesis defense) and became the 32nd Ph.D. from the Xia group on 7/13/2021. He is doing postdoc at UT Austin.

Quynh Nguyen, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Group since 2020, recently received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Legna Figueroa-Cosme (a former Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position as Process Development Scientist at Amgen Inc.

Zachary Hood (a former Ph.D. student) was recently promoted to a staff scientist in the Applied Materials Division at Argonne National Laboratory.

Haoxuan Li (a former visiting Ph.D. student) recently accepted a position of professor in the College of Textile Science and Engineering at Jiangnan University.
