Mingming Zhang (a former postdoc) was recently admitted into the 14th "1000 Young Talents Program" of China while holding a position of professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Madeline Vara passed her final exam (thesis defense) and became the 25th Ph.D. from the Xia group on 11/27/2017. She accepted a position with Nano Terra, starting January 2018.

Madeline Vara, a Ph.D. student in the Xia Research Group since 2013, has been selected as part of the United States delegation to attend the prestigious 2017 Lindau Nobel Laureate Conference to be held in Lindau, Germany later this year.  The last group member who received this great honor is Claire Cobley, which was back in 2010.
